Flash 8 JavaScript Communiation: Problems with IE and ASP.NET

November 13, 2005 | Uncategorized | 0 Comments

If you happen to use Flash 8 JavaScript communication (which completely
rocks), make sure you don’t put the Flash object/embed tags within a
<form> tag or else IE will freak out. This is import for ASP.NET
developers because it’s very common to put and opening <form>
right after the <body> tag covering the entire page.

Our new podcast page (www.dts.edu/podcast) uses Flash 8 with JavaScript communication and the script.aculo.us library for effects.

Hi, I'm John Dyer. In my day job, I build websites and create online seminary software for a seminary in Dallas. I also like to release open source tools including a pretty popular HTML5 video player and build tools that help people find best bible commentaries and do bible study. And just for fun, I also wrote a book on the theology of technology and media.
