FreeTextBox 2.0.6 released

 2.0.6 (6/10/2004)

  • fixed: BackColor (you no longer need to set ToolbarStyleConfiguration=NotSet)

  • added: ButtonRenderMode (JavascriptAndImages|Css). the new CSS buttons from 2.0.4 were causing major slowdown for some IE users, so I made the button rendering optional.  This means there are now individual images for each button again…

Great control! I use it in my EZWeb framework. One question. In .Text, iespellcheck and wordclean toolbar buttons work, but I can’t get them to work. I’m using version 2.0.6. The documentation also seems to be a little out of date on the available toolbar buttons. Is there a complete list available somewhere for version 2.0.6?

Thanks for the info. Regarding the first issue, you can quickly solve this by renaming /aspnet_client/FreeTextBox/images/spellcheck.gif to iespellcheck.gif. I’ll update the packages to include buttons named for each spellcheck version and also make sure the help file is updated.

Does FTBox have some limitations with Firefox? I tried the editor you have on then frontpage of and simple tags like linebreak, come out "<br>" instead of "<br /">. In the forums it said those tags would comeout in XHTML.

I changed the name of spellcheck from /aspnet_client/FreeTextBox/images/spellcheck.gif to iespellcheck.gif, as you said in reference to Jeffrey’s reply, but still image is not appearing.

Hi, I'm John Dyer. In my day job, I build websites and create online seminary software for a seminary in Dallas. I also like to release open source tools including a pretty popular HTML5 video player and build tools that help people find best bible commentaries and do bible study. And just for fun, I also wrote a book on the theology of technology and media.
