FreeTextBox4 and IE7 Mention

  1. Hi John,

FreeTextBox4 looks realy cool! Are you going to offer programming support for creating new panels, as for toolbars?

A feature that it was missing from the previous version: There was no way from the programming model, to know, if the control was the free version, or the pro one, in order to programmaticaly use the extra features.

A other cool feature, would be to preview the fonts, with the real fonts, and the fonts’ sizes, with the real sizes; not to use the html controls to display lists but to create dhtml panels in order to do that.

Looking forward to the first beta of FreetextBox4, George J.

  2. George,

Yes, the entire programming of toolbars will be in JavaScript and some equivalent in ASP.NET.

That’s a good idea regarding determining free vs. pro. I hadn’t thought of it before, but I’ll look into it.

And yes, the new dropdowns are "rich" in that they show the real formatting.

  3. Do you have a control to mimick the functions provided by the dhtml control for IE5 in Visual Basic 6?

  4. Hey John,  how are you getting on re V4 ?  do you have a release date planned ?
